Qualifications:
1.  Six (6) years experience in production and/or editing of technical documents to include specific experience in writing for non-technical audiences.
2.  Experienced user of the latest release of Microsoft Office (or equivalent) products.


Requirements:
Relevant experience MUST BE in technical writing, editing, and/or revising
(e.g. instruction manuals, user guides, system manuals, white papers, design specifications) and conducting open source research
Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. Associate's degree plus 5 years relevant experience may be considered
Degree in English or Journalism is preferred, although a degree in any field is acceptable.
Description Summary:
Write, edit, review and prepare for publication or presentation technical documents on information technology systems, devices, cybersecurity research, analysis and solutions
Tasks:
Writing/Editing & Reviewing of organizational communications (papers, pamphlets, presentations, procedures, policy, project proposals)
        - Edit written products documents for clarity, content, relevance of material, organization, strength of argument, persuasiveness, organizational consistency,
            comprehensiveness, length and overall tone and style
        - Edit written products for errors in grammar, format, spelling, punctuation, etc.
        - Update written products (for example, policy manuals, user guides, presentations) to ensure currently of information
        - Write complex documents (for example, business/technical reports, speeches/scripts, legal and policy documents, manual/guides, technical specifications, test             plans, project proposals, design documents)
        - Write routine documents (for example, emails, memoranda, minutes of meetings, status reports, production reports)
       - Utilize collaborative editing/writing technologies to perform writing, editing and review of technical content (i.e. corporate sharing tools such as Sharepoint, Confluence, JIRA, etc)
        - Develop and/or update standard operating procedures (SOPs) or instructions
Working With Others:
        -  Adjust interpersonal style or behavior to accommodate or effectively deal with different approaches, perspectives, or personalities
        - Consult with coworkers, management, contractors, etc. for technical. operational, or managerial advice or guidance
        - Help or assist coworkers, subordinates, or other employees when needed
        - Work as part of a team
