  • Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of significant complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline is required - or an additional five (5) years of SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
    Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
Project Management/Team Support Lead:
  • Serve as the Scrum Master and Project Support Lead for the software development team
    • Moderate Sprint planning sessions
    • Moderate daily Scrums
    • Organize Sprint Demos and Retrospectives
    • Maintain knowledge radiators
    • Work to remove obstacles that impede progress for developers
    • Advocate for the team in branch discussions and actions
  • Consult on Agile methods use and the application of both traditional and Agile processes
  • Manage project data through the use of various tools including (Rational Team Concert/Jazz, MS Project, and ad hoc use of MS Excel)
    • Create and manage requirements stories and tasks
    • Update team management dashboards
    • Update Scrum Team information radiator
  • Represent the Software Team at weekly Team Leads meetings
  • Monitor progress of team tasking
  • Provide planning and organizational guidance to the software development team
  • Organize educational sessions through soliciting speakers and managing the room scheduling
  • Aggregate and deliver a bullet point Weekly Activity Report for the branch chief
  • Aggregate and deliver the contract deliverable Weekly Activity Report for both, the customer, and the EPM III contract management
  • Write Monthly Status Report deliverable
  • Coordinate personnel resources with other team leads in the branch

KMI Development Planning and Scheduling:
  • Build and maintain the branch Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Represent the branch at KMI IMS meetings
  • Deliver schedules in several output formats for the branch and organization PMOs

SETA Activities:
  • Ad hoc reporting on resource usage in general for product development and occasionally for specific events (e.g. deployment planning)
  • Write white papers on technical and managerial subjects for branch management to use for decision making
  • Write and distribute network environment tips and tricks memos to train branch users when the network infrastructure changes
  • Provide resource analysis for use in the budgeting process for the branch
  • Create and maintain branch distribution lists
  • Create and maintain branch team roster
  • Create and support access controls for branch shared storage area on corporate network
  • Manage Delivery Order 63 for the EPM III B8 contract

Required Skills:
  • Broad understanding of information security technology and its implementation (strong key management knowledge a plus)
  • Scrum Master experience (Certified Scrum Master a plus)
  • Project planning (MS Project experience a plus)
  • Knowledge of software development process
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Strong MS Office skills

Preferred Skills:
  • Rational Team Concert/Jazz experience
  • Knowledge of secure computing practices
  • Coding skills (any level)
  • Broad knowledge of development processes and methods (i.e. DevOps)
