Qualifications:
Minimum three (3) years experience as a Lead Systems Engineer.
A minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in one or more of the following:
a. System engineering of DoD command, control, communications and intelligence (C3I) systems;
b. Analyzing needs; deriving system-level requirements; and contributing to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of computer networks and systems; or
c. Microelectronics engineering, integrated circuit design, and integrated circuit reverse engineering skills.
 

Requirements:
Seeking a versatile Systems Engineer who wants to work with a tight-knit team supporting a key customer's full range of networking and systems engineering needs in Linux, Microsoft, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments. Collaborate with customers and transition their applications from legacy platforms to modern cloud-computing environments. Participate in securing and protecting customer networks/infrastructures by championing all STE/STN (Secure the Enterprise/Secure the Net) activities. Testing and deploying patches and new versions of operating systems and upgrading equipment to the latest versions. Support day-to-day operations of high-priority and high-visibility capabilities and create and maintain support documentation for the infrastructure.
Primary Skills:
• Experience developing and implementing cloud migration strategies 
• Experience developing AWS solutions as well as identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues within an AWS environment
• Experience and strong understanding of Linux
• Experience with System Administration support of Linux and Microsoft server infrastructures supporting application, web (JBOSS and IIS), email, and database servers (SQL and NoSQL)
• Experience with Active Directory including group policies, user accounts, creating and managing domains, upgrading software, and handling user accounts.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting issues related to servers, hardware, backups, network, and performance
Secondary Skills:
• VMware support
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Git)
• Knowledge of open source and appliance-based storage systems such as NetApp
• Experience with the F5, firewalls, switches, VPN, and DNS
• Ability to write scripts (e.g., Shell, Python)
• Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts
• Familiarity with Splunk
CCNA is desirable, but not required
• Experience supporting and maintaining an Exchange environment
